- Work as a key member of the Commercial Team, ensuring the smooth functioning of procurement activities at the construction site;
- Oversee and manage logistics operations, including forwarding, import activities, and customs compliance;
- Negotiate prices, terms and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for the company;
- Prepare purchase orders and meticulously verify suppliers’ delivery orders/ invoices, quantities, unit prices and goods details;
- Proactively address and resolve any issues that may arise with suppliers or vendors;
- Conduct thorough comparative analyses of suppliers’ prices to optimize procurement decisions;
- Track orders closely and oversee their timely delivery to meet project requirements;
- Maintain up-to-date records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices for easy retrieval and reference;
- Liaise closely with the Finance Department to monitor payment statuses and ensure timely processing;
- Coordinate effectively with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and inventory management;
- Ensures the accurate processing of assigned clients’ orders, adhering to quality standards and timelines
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field;
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement and logistics, preferably within the construction industry;
- In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations and documentation;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams);
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders;
- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities;
- Must be able to work at the project site in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
